Here’s a secret that the fitness industry doesn’t always emphasize: the best workout is the one you’ll actually do consistently. If you absolutely hate running, don’t force yourself to run just because someone told you it’s good exercise. Try dancing, swimming, hiking, cycling, or our group classes instead.
Experiment with different activities until you find something that makes you think “Hey, that was actually fun!” or at least “That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.” When you enjoy your workout, it stops feeling like a punishment and starts feeling like something you look forward to.
